In preparation for the opening of the Gukwdzi, our students have been busy barbecuing and jarring fish. Here is some of the language that goes along with these teachings.
Mameksilaxda̱nu'x̱w lax̱i ḵ̓aḵ̓ot̕ła̱'at̕si. - We were working on fish at the school.
'me - fish
ma̱łik - sockeye salmon
'met̕sola - jarred or canned fish
