We had a great first few days back at school last week! It was wonderful having our students back, reconnecting with families, and getting settled into our routines. We are really looking forward to the year ahead! ❤️Here’s what’s happening this week:
🍎 Kindergarten & Pre K
Gradual entry continues this week. Please follow the schedules that have been shared with families.
🚜 Thursday, September 17 – Connaty Farm
Divisions 4 & 5 will be heading to Connaty Farm in the afternoon.
🍝 Thursday, September 17 – Back to School Lasagna Dinner
5:00–7:00 pm
Come join our staff for a fun family evening! Meet our staff, play games, win prizes, and enjoy a great lasagna dinner. All family members of GN School students are welcome — kids included!
📅 Friday, September 18 – Pro D Day
There will be NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS as our staff will be participating in professional development.
🍎 Weekly Menu – September 14–17
Chef Sharon and our Food Services team have another great week of breakfasts, snacks, and lunches planned for our students. Please check out the attached menu for this week.

We are so excited to kick off the 2026/2027 school year tomorrow for students in Grades 1-7. School starts at 8:55 until 11:00 am. We are hosting a family bbq with Galgapothla Family Services Society where every student will receive a backpack. We hope our families can join us as we reconnect, welcome everyone back, and celebrate the beginning of another great year together.
Please note that the school will be closed for a funeral service this Friday. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we give our community the time and space to come together and support the family.
